Only three Durham beaches safe for swimming

DURHAM — There are few options for anyone wanting to go brave the cool weather and go for a swim this weekend in the Durham Region.
Only three of 13 beaches have tested safe for swimming, according to the Region’s health department. The remaining 10 were deemed unsafe due to elevated bacteria levels.
